Dr. Luisa Masses was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she finished her bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. She went on to complete her veterinary medicine doctorate at Ross University in St Kitts before finishing her clinical year at the University of Illinois. After school, Dr. Masses completed a small animal rotating internship at BluePearl, where she developed a special interest in oncology, emergency and critical care medicine.

During her time off, Dr. Masses enjoys artsy activities, music, traveling, working out and relaxing with her boyfriend, Mitch and their adorable furry girl, Rosanna Acacia. 

Dr. Masses is incredibly excited to join the team and get to know her new clients and their furry babies!  She is especially eager to serve St. Francis of Assisi's Spanish-speaking clients, as Spanish was her first language!
